Shalom has over 9 years of holding sound bath classes and workshops and has been teaching students how to play the Crystal Bowls for over 5 years. As a sound healing instructor, much of the work he teaches is transformative and intuitive-based; some techniques are centuries old while others are modern-day practices. This unique training method helps his students deliver the best possible sound bath experiences.

Shalom was introduced to sound healing as a modality after completing 2 separate 200-hour YTTC (yoga teacher training certifications) in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, training in Yoga Nidra guided meditations, and receiving certifications for Levels 1, 2, and Master Level Reiki practitioner. He then studied the art of sound healing for two years with his teacher Debra Kelly and was one of the first people in Portland, Oregon to offer crystal bowl sound baths and sound bath trainings. 

Shalom was specifically drawn to sound healing because it produces vibrational sounds thought to improve brain waves which can help improve overall physical, emotional, spiritual health, and well-being. He has trained everyone from yoga teachers, body/energy workers, school teachers, doctors, and nurses, those working at care facilities, and others interested in and curious about sound healing as a healing practice. When he is not teaching, he enjoys practicing yoga, group meditation, nutritious cooking and hiking, as well as mentoring teens to encourage a healthier, mindful lifestyle.
